How to Get Rid of Belly Bulge

December 21, 2015 Sam Meridian

How to Get Rid of Belly Bulge
Contrary to what you might think, getting rid of belly bulge is all about diet and cardio rather than strength-training exercises that target the abdominals. This is because belly bulge results from excess body fat, not lack of muscle. The best way to reduce the bulge, therefore, is to reduce your body fat, and we all know what that requires — eating right and exercising, baby!

It is possible to carry extra water weight in your tummy. To get rid of this, try cutting your sodium intake to 1,500 mg a day and increasing your water intake. This will help you reduce water retention and lessen a bit the spongy appearance of belly fat.

But really, it comes down to healthy eating and consistent exercise. Stick with it, kid — it’ll come off. Just keep at it and be patient with yourself.

How to Reduce Belly Bulge

Reducing belly bulge comes down to a combination of dietary and exercise strategies. Eating lots of junk food, drinking alcohol — particularly beer — and living a sedentary lifestyle inevitably leads to belly bulge. Even if you’re active and try to be healthy, there are a number of key points you might be missing to reduce the fat around your abdomen. Keep in mind that spot reduction is a myth, and that making healthy lifestyle changes will reduce your overall body fat, not just your belly fat.

Step 1
Eat a healthy variety of foods, including a large selection of vegetables. Each meal should have a serve of protein, such as lean meats, eggs or fish; a small serving of carbohydrates such as whole grains, potato, fruits; and a small serving of fats, which could include nuts, dairy, coconut or olive oil. Additionally, each meal should include a liberal serving of fibrous vegetables, including broccoli, asparagus, celery, avocado, tomato, snow peas, spinach and beans. The fiber can help to reduce bloating in your belly and improve your digestion. Read More…

How to Get a Flat Stomach & Lose a Belly Bulge

Belly bulges often develop due to bloating, fecal impaction or excess subcutaneous fat, the fat that lies between your abdominal wall and skin. Because a bulge can appear for a variety of reasons, you have a few options available to flatten your stomach. You cannot spot reduce your abdominal area, so performing stomach crunches and situps won’t do the trick. Flattening your stomach requires you to take measures to reduce bloating and eliminate fat throughout your body.

High-Impact Aerobics

Performing high-impact aerobics is the best way to burn subcutaneous fat. Aerobic exercise elevates your heart rate, tones your muscles and boosts your metabolism, causing your body to burn fat throughout the day. Brisk walking, jogging, swimming, dancing and skating are aerobic exercises that will eliminate excess fat from your stomach area while keeping your overall weight under control. Perform 30 to 60 minutes of aerobic exercise daily to eliminate your belly bulge. Read More…

Avoid These Belly-Bulging Foods

Just in time for summer, researchers are studying the best way to stop hiding your six-pack under belly fat. Diets lower in carbs may zap abdominal fat better than high-carb diets, according to a new study presented earlier this month at the annual Endocrine Society Meeting and Expo in Boston.

Study subjects followed either a low-carb or high-carb diet. Lower-carb dieters consumed 43 percent of their calories from carbohydrates and 39 percent from fat—roughly the number of carbs in the Zone diet. On the other hand, the high-carb group consumed 55 percent of its calories from carbs and 27 percent from fat. (The remaining 18 percent was protein, for both groups.)
